Founded in 1986 by Patricia Pearce and Derek Pereira (both British Airways employees), Dreamflight is “a registered UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.”
It followed a previous idea called Skyride, a BA initiative, which raised money to take underprivileged children on a one-hour ‘Christmas party’ flight. The next logical step was to take deserving children on the holiday of a lifetime to Disney World.
Over 5000 children have been taken to Florida since Dreamflight’s first trip way back in November 1987. You can read all about them here.
Their latest trip across the pond began on October 18th – and the Dreamflight Twitter feed has documented their adventures – Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure look fun!
We had a fab time a Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure yesterday, with our groups split between the parks. pic.twitter.com/HODvBIqNvv

We’re very proud to support such a great initiative here at CurrencyFair, and hope the kids and everyone involved has a great time in Florida.
