CurrencyFair is a unique, new way to exchange currency, because it is peer-to-peer, or could perhaps better be called person-to-person. We’ve created a safe, online marketplace where people can exchange currencies directly with other people.
Why is this such a good thing? By bringing buyers and sellers of currency together online, we are eliminating many of the charges and fees that you normally pay when dealing with banks or brokers, whether they’re built into the exchange rate or added on later as commission and transfer charges.

Where does CurrencyFair fit in?
We host the marketplace, bringing buyers and sellers of currency together online, ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately and that the funds get where they need to go quickly and safely.
We are a regulated entity that ‘holds the money’, meaning that you can exchange safely with other customers knowing that we already hold the funds – so nobody can back out of their side of the deal.
We supply our own funds to the market, whenever things are quiet. So there is always a great rate to exchange any amount at immediately, regardless of the number of people exchanging in the other direction at that moment.
